• The tie rod end boot prevents dust and debris from entering and also prevents grease leakage.

• When the boot deteriorates (cracks, hardening, etc.), contaminants enter and damage the ball joint.

• Recommended replacement interval: 5–7 years, or 50,000–70,000 km.
