The fine electrode reduces the required ignition voltage, helping improve ignition performance while maintaining excellent durability.

Platinum Square-Tip Ground Electrode

The ground electrode features a platinum square tip to improve wear resistance and ignition performance when combined with the iridium alloy center electrode.

The shortened electrode tip and tapered design also provide additional space around the firing area.

Short-Type Vibration-Resistant Ground Electrode

The shortened ground electrode and optimized cross-sectional shape reduce mass while increasing structural strength.

This design contributes to improved ground electrode strength and durability.

Thermo Edge

Carbon deposits caused by extended idling, air-fuel ratio conditions, and other combustion environments can reduce insulation performance and lead to misfires.

The Thermo Edge at the tip of the insulator generates micro-discharges to help maintain insulation performance.

Auxiliary Spark Gap

The auxiliary spark gap generates discharge along the surface between the insulator tip and ground electrode.
